About Nexent Bank N.V. Amsterdam Bucharest Branch
Nexent Bank is a European financial institution with operations in seven countries, part of the Nexent Bank N.V. group with a strong retail and corporate banking activity. We have been present in Romania since 1993, gradually consolidating our reputation as a provider of reliable financial solutions for individuals, SMEs and corporations.
In Romania we provide a broad range of products and services for approximately 500.000 individuals, SMEs and companies, across a network of 13 territorial units and agencies, as well as through alternative distribution channels: 38 ATMs, approximately 9400 POS's, Internet Banking and Phone Banking.
We evolved, improved ourselves constantly and irrespective of our name we had a single aim: to offer banking products and services that best match our clients' needs. For this purpose, whether for SMEs, large companies or individuals, we have put at work new banking models, novel technologies as well as the will to be of assistance, to keep close to our clients and their businesses.
As of July 2025, the bank officially became Nexent Bank. The bank designed around you. This name and identity change marks the transition to a unified, clear and modern identity aligned with the group's international network. The unification under the Nexent Bank name signifies a new stage in the bank's evolution, one that retains its trusted values, but expresses them with greater clarity, digitalization and orientation towards customers' financial needs.
As part of the Dutch financial Group Nexent Bank N.V., we strive to provide experience, competence and innovation - as the true recognition of our products and services' value is given by those who use them.
In recent years, we have accelerated the digitalization process, introducing Apple Pay and Google Pay, launching the Monet mobile banking app and the Avantaj SoftPOS solution for merchants. In parallel, the Avantaj app, the Internet Banking platform and the official website have been modernized, reflecting a constant concern for the customer's digital experience.
Card Avantaj has a special place in our story , a name that bears a special significance for us. 19 years ago this brand introduced, for the first time in Romania, a payment instrument with zero interest rate, easy to understand, easy to use. Since its introduction on the market, Card Avantaj made over 300,000 friends, clients that made good use of it, finding the best solutions within a network of tens of thousands of merchant partners - the most extensive in Romania. During all this time Card Avantaj did its outmost to fulfill the promise made to clients, by continuously providing innovative features and benefits. Card Avantaj remains today a symbol of continuous innovation, tailored to real customer needs, under the Nexent Bank umbrella.
